We decided to get FELIWAY after our youngest cat, Stitchbob Catpants (17 months old) became distressed about the smell of foxes near our house. We have a nature park behind our house with a large population of foxes and being January, it's mating season for them.

This is his first experience of this as he was too young to be let out last year, and there was a dramatic change in his behaviour almost overnight.

Stitchbob went from being a confident, outgoing and vocal cat, to being quiet, reserved and quite nervous, not coming for his usual cuddles or sleeping on the bed with us and not "shouting" at us to go out first thing in the morning. We kept an eye on his eating, drinking and toilet habits in case the change was due to illness and checked him for injuries to rule this out too. All was normal for him and so we decided that it was the smell of foxes bothering him and we needed to do something to ease his anxiety about them. I plugged in the diffuser yesterday and today he's purring, miaowing and seems so much more relaxed.

He's even coming to us for fusses and cuddles again. It's amazing how well this works. Even the older cats, Pepper and Gizmo (both around 10 years old) seem more relaxed about the foxes, although they've had more experience and weren't as bothered by them. I can definitely recommend trying FELIWAY to anyone who has a nervous or anxious cat.
